Amber Lassally, LCSW-C
Amber Lassally is a graduate of Syracuse University with a Masters of Social Work. She is thrilled to have relocated to Maryland where she is independently licensed to practice psychotherapy. Amber is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and specializes in anxiety related disorders. She provides trauma-informed care for each individual, recognizing that each person experiences traumatic situations differently.
Amber is a licensed certified social worker- clinical (LCSW-C) who has had the privilege to work closely with adults, adolescents, and children struggling with anxiety, depression, self harming behaviors, anger management, trauma, grief and loss, stress management, low self-esteem, and family conflict.
Coping with stress, life transitions, and loss are common times when people reach out for help. The attentive listening, empathy and feedback that are part of the therapy process can help reduce feelings of isolation, connect us to inner resources and lead to meaningful change. Amber draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches (including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, family systems theory and solution-focused), and is guided by what is the best fit for each person and their situation.
