Jessi Collins, LCSW-C

"Building a trusting, non-judgmental, friendly relationship with all of my clients is something that I genuinely enjoy. I believe in giving you the space and time to process feelings, confront difficult issues, and discover new ways of adjusting and adapting to life’s many curveballs. The healing power of taking time out for yourself and feeling heard by another person is sometimes underestimated. I often say that therapy appointments are like your container with a lid; come in, take the lid off, and let everything out. When it’s time to go, we’ll put the lid back on so you can return to your family and friends, your job, your life.

Since 2009, I have provided individual therapy for adults age 18 and older. My approach is always first guided by what your individualized needs may be. Additionally, I am trained in and utilize concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused treatment to help you get "unstuck." I work with clients struggling with grief and loss (both death and non-death losses), anxiety, depression, stress or anger management, setting and maintaining boundaries, and feelings of low self-worth. I also have experience counseling current and former athletes and adults with ADHD history.

Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting and I am happy to take things at your pace. I look forward to building a collaborative, confidential, compassionate relationship with you and discussing steps to getting started."
